Organisational Structure

Self help groups are the focal point of IFSP-Wanni´s intervention.

Through ongoing implementation IFSP-Wanni aims for transparency and the participation of all actors.

Progress Review Meeting between the GOSL and LTTE

During the entire project period the IFSP-Wanni project is steered by a Committee comprising of the Government of Sri Lanka, LTTE representatives, Sewalanka and DWHH/GAA. This Project Committee is formed with the participation of government and LTTE representatives, representatives including those from the target group and Wanni NGOs and selected CBOs.

The function of the Committee is overall coordination of the project with all involved persons. As representatives of both conflict parties and different interest groups are involved, the functioning Committee is also a step in the reconciliation process.

Committee-members actively participate in the IFSP-Wanni through monthly Progress Review Meetings, with their suggestions and recommendations taken into consideration during planning and implementation. Furthermore the project is broad based operating at the District and Divisional Level through regular Stakeholder meetings.

To achieve its goals of food security, IFSP-Wanni initiated a complex process that ensures transparency and participation. This requires the committed endeavours of the government, LTTE, stakeholders and target groups. To cope with such complex processes and procedures adjustments have been made at the different levels of intervention.
